    Possible halter/wp?

I have a 2 year old BS APHA colt that my niece wants to show at local fairs next year. She shows WP which is something I honestly not interested in and don't know alot about. Does Reb look like a halter/wp prospect to you? Also, what do you think of his pedigree? Here's the link to his pedigree Paradises Trigger Paint

It is nearly impossible to really tell much just from those pictures. If you could get some from each side, front and back (full body on all) of him squared up on level ground with his head up, that would help tremendously. That way, we can tell what his pasterns look like, how straight his shoulder is, etc. With the proper training, almost any horse would be able to do well in local WP shows. Same goes for halter so long as there are no blatant conformational issues.

Ditto the above ^^^^^^ although to do more than acceptably compete in WP, he would also need to be a nice mover.

Also, if he is not already gelded, that might be a requirement, depending on the rules of the shows your niece is considering, and if she is a youth.

I don't recognize the horses in his pedigreee until I get back to Mr. Robin Boy and Jet Smooth, so I am of no help there-- I have no clue what his recent relatives are known for/what they have sired/produced.

Agreed, stallions must be cut for 4H, etc.
