Possible Purchase Pregnant?

Hello everyone. I am currently looking at a mustang mare that's offered for sale. She's cute as a button, but in the pictures her barrel looks round to me... very round. Could it be that she's just plump... or does anyone think that it looks even remotely like a pregnant type rotund?

Regardless, if I find that I like her temperament and am further interested in her I will get a vet's opinion and a full exam before purchase... I just wanted to know what other experienced eyes thought.

Looks like she just has a big hay belly to me. Was she exposed to a stallion?

She just looks well fed to me. Is there reason to believe she is bred?

I've spent most my life riding horses...the rest i've just wasted.

She doesn't look pregnant to me......it would help to know the date of the picture........are you thinking she was bred last year if so should have a much bigger belly and if you are talking about her being bred this year it's not likely she would be showing yet unless it was in Jan.

What a gorgeous girl! I am also going to say hay belly but definitely check to be sure.

I don't think she's pregnant - or the add would likely have said as much. (At least around here they do.) She may just be big barrelled, like my girl. (See avatar) She is at least part spanish mustang, if not purebred.

It looks like she may just be big-barreled, but get a vet to check to make sure; quite a few people around where I used to live would sell pregnant mares and not tell anyone. Or they would pasture them with stallions and not expect anything to happen.

If you're not practicing, someone, somewhere is, and when you meet him, he will win.

She doesn't look pregnant to me but only a vet could say for sure. I will say that she is absolutely gorgeous and if she is even half as broke as they say, I would snatch her up preggo or no preggo. I don't know if she is BLM or Kiger or home bred mustang but I do know that if I let my mustangs get fat, they both look pregnant (and they're geldings LOL). You should see Koda, he could be carrying twins.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Beautiful mare. I don't know much about the being in foal, but when they start to show, does it drop down more because it's heavy?
But what does the collar around the neck do? Is it one of those ones for windsucking?
