That is so exciting. My mare had a foal last May (my first). Time goes by so quickly. Are you going to try to be there?

I waited up all night a couple of times. One night I told my husband I know she is going to give birth tonight. She tried as hard as she could not to give birth. She paced all night. Finally at 5:00am she went to a dark corner of her paddock and I heard her water break. It was the most amazing thing to watch. I had to keep telling myself not to interfere unless necessary. She did great. Had the baby in 10 minutes. Athena stood up about 45 minutes later. She is now 7 months old. I can't wait to see pictures.

^^We board our horse so that's what I did. I camped out in my car. Baby's a ton of work but so much fun. Your going to have some much fun with your foal. I will be hoping for a save delivery for your mare and foal.
