Pregnant Mare + Slightly Open Cervix + Regu-Mute

Has anyone has an experiences (good or bad) about a pregnant mare with a cervix not closed all the way?

My mare was checked today and she's indeed pregnant, but, like the title says, her cervix isn't quite closed all the way. She's 20 days along. She has been put on 9 cc's of Regu-Mute daily until her bloodwork comes back for her progesterone test. If all is normal, vet says to wean her off of Regu-Mute by 2cc's daily. If not, we'll have to extend the Regu-Mute throughout her pregnancy.

It's kind of a waiting game at this point in time until we get bloodwork back.

Anyone had to deal with this before? Did your mare make it to full term? Miscarry? Did you rebreed her without any issues during the next pregnancy?

Chilly is a maiden and is 11 years old. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, and unfortunately we don't know how other pregnancies have gone because...This is her first. So maybe this is just her and her "normal" cervix during pregnancy.

(I just realized after researching a bunch on google that I spelled Regumate wrong. LoL. Sorry.)
