Pregnant whiskey mama update

She is looking pretty uncomfortable at times and other times she seems fine. My husband is back now and we are ready for the baby.

Guessing you probably wont have to wait long.

Please take the mare's halter off. Heard of foals that got legs caught int he mare's halter and then dragged and trampled to death by the freaked out mare. I would hate to hear of something like that happening. Sorry, but I felt I needed to say it.

I will take it off. I had it on because she is very hard to catch. I had read that keeping a halter on will make it easier to catch them, but as big as she is I don't think she will be running far from me. Thanks for the heads up on that ndappy I never would have thought of that ever happening to the foal. I will post pics as soon as he/she is here.

Can't wait for the pics! So you keep us updated!

I am glad that you are going to take the halter off and weren't offended by my saying that. It's a horrible thing to have happen.

Agreed mare should be naked....no halters no blankets.....I wouldn't even put a halter on the foal and less you are going to be present to watch.
