Question about color genetics??

Hi everyone, this is my first post
I have a brown mare out of a gray sire and blue roan dam I understand gray is a dominant gene (she has 5 grays on her topside in a 4 gen ped.) one would think she would have grayed out however She will be 12 yrs old next month so I really don't see it happening ha ha.
Anyhow I was thinking about breeding her to my black tovero this spring, and was curious of what the possibilities were for foal colors. Attached is pictures of both let me know what you think!

They are pretty, but I'm not too sure what color you could get. Has the stud bred before? And if so, what color colts has he thrown?

Sorry to double post... I meant on the cross conformation-wise, not color wise.

No, he hasn't ever bred before, his sire is also a black tovero dam is a palomino overo so it is a hodge podge of color. The picture I have of him isn't the best, he loves dirt! Also my daughter took it with my camera phone not the best for picture taking
This will probably be our only foal and it is more curiosity than anything about the color possibilities. My goal is to combine the best of both mare and colt. Both have exceptional personalities easy to handle, intelligent and willing. She is a former barrel horse, she's very quick and catty, he on the other hand is cow bred stocky kind of reminds me of a pit bull He was originally purchased for a show baby for my daughters FFA but he injured himself and we couldn't show him, thankfully the injury didn't leave any lasting effects not even a scar!

Do you have a purpose for the foal other than to see what color it would be?

I'm wondering because both the mare and stallion have some conformation flaws I'm not confident would compliment one another.

Hmm...well my uncle's got an equine genetics book I can look at in a day or two. I think you could get a Bay Tobiano, Bay Tovero, A plain chestnut, black tobiano, chestnut tovero....who knows! Lol I'll try and check that book for ya.

Conformation flaws? Please explain

The mare is Bay not Brown. I agree both have some conformation flaws but then so do 99.99% of all horses. You breed what you have and go from there. First mare I ever bred was as butt ugly as a horse can be. The foal was better that's the goal.
