Quick Color Question

Hey guys,
I cruise around in here because this is where the color geniuses like to hang out and I'm trying to learn.
Can you guys tell me what the chances are that I ended up with the horse I did? The dark grey is his daddy and the grey is his mommy and the funny little chestnut with the two white socks and huge blaze is my booooy..

Okay, this could be totally wrong...I'm basing it off what I remember from a genetics class I took four years ago =P but I'm guessing a 25% chance...both mama and dad would have to be heterozygotes for the grey color, and it would be a 75:25 ratio of grey:non-grey. If one was homozygous, all offspring would be grey.

Tarebear is right! His parents are heterozygous for gray and neither passed it on to your boy!

Both were _e (meaning at least one e. Chestnuts are ee). And both are Gg (one copy of the grey gene). And as the above poster said, 25% chance of your foal getting gg, no grey.

Wow! I'm pretty happy he turned out the way he did even though it was a kind of slim chance.. I hate bathing greys haha!
