Quick question about season's and pregnancy.

Ok so whisk's was covered on the 8th and was covered for the whole duration of her season, she looks like she's coming back in to season.
Just curious, does this happen often with some mares, I was told that the weather can some times effect them is this true? (it was like winter one week and the next a heat wave) she has had three foals in the past all without any complications at all.
She's going back up to see the stallion again tomorrow.

Have you checked her? Some mares will come into heat during their pregnancies. I believe the weather does have a lot to do with it. My mare would be in heat the the next day if cold she was out...then again I've not had an easy season with her. :)

Ultrasound her at 18 days and you'll know.

Well I think it's been about 21 days since she was first covered. So surely the vet will be able to pick something up. I can arrange the dentist to come out at the same time and check her teeth so if she needs to be doped up I wont have two call out fees! (i know some of you's might thinking if i'm being a scrooge about the vet call out fee then I shouldn't be breeding whisks, but I already have a bit of moola set aside for "emergency foal funds!" lol)
