    RID Western Sun

    Hey guys/gals,

I'm looking into a colt of interest. The owner claims the colt is out of "RID Western Sun" and was an accident. The colt is two years old and I want to know the owner's integrity. He does appear to be some sort of Warmblood, and honestly I don't care if he's related... But I want to know how trustworthy the owner appears. It appears Western Sun was born in '88 so I would be really surprised if he was out of this stallion given the age. But stated the colt was an "oops" baby.

I've done a bit of rooting around it looks like he disappeared in 2012 when his owners didn't update his information.

Anyone to share some light? I would like to confirm this story.

I honestly don't know, but the sire being born in '88 would have made him 22 at the time of breeding, 23 when the colt was born, so it's not impossible that he is the sire. We have a mare who will be 30 in the Spring and she's still in pretty good shape, so I guess it really just depends on how well cared for he is/was.
