Ronas Ryon horses

Anyone have a Ronas Ryon descendant? What is your experience with that line?

I am finally training my soon to be 8 year old mare granddaughter of Ronas Ryon.

I am planning on making her into an all around barrel horse as well as a jumper. I don't care about winning any money or going to A shows, I just want a darn fun horse! We will see how well that goes.

As far as personality, she is very personable. I can whistle her up from the pasture and waits to get her halter put on. She is pretty intelligent but gets bored easily. Not very independent but she hasn't "gone and done and seen" like most show horses her age.

I am putting a lot of basics on her right now. Trying to get her in condition and coordination to collect herself at the trot and canter. Get her working off her hind end. Easier said than done!
