She has waxed!

So big momma finally waxed this morning! Her tummy has that pointed shape in the center. About an hour after I noticed wax, she was kicking at her belly and biting her sides and her tail was swishing like mad. Then it all calmed down and she's munching hay again. But she will stop eating and stand in a corner looking miserable off and on. Does this mean she'll foal tonight??

Sounds like a giant leap forward - of course, those pesky mares never seem to read the foaling manuals and know that all this means that tonight is the night, lol. Pics -- must have pics!!!

Thanks LT515, I am ok. Pretty exhausted, checking on prego all night long. Last night I only went out once at 2:30 a.m. And again at 6:30 to feed. Still nothing. Its like she is enjoying my middle of the night visits, I always give her a treat. She has little droplets of white milk forming on the teats now and yet still there is no baby..this has been going on since Sunday a.m. Sigh...

She's training YOU.
Actually, the longer the baby is in utero, the better. Has you Vet checked for anything unusual, like breech?

I am going through the same restless nights.....sometimes I think the mares are just joking around and laughing about us running out there checking on them.

My vet told me not to worry since we don't know her due date. He never palpated her the last time he was out. And I do worry about breech and red bag delivery. All the horror stories! Anyway, she still has a little beading of milk on the end of her teats, been going on since sunday a.m. So I'm thinking it can't be much longer. If she hasn't had it by Friday, I'm getting him out here. If she has it tonight I'm S.O.L. For his help. Its his casino night
