Is She Pregnant?

Hi, I have a question. I rescued a beautiful Arab mare about 6 months ago. She was in pretty good shape health wise but had to be rescued because of physical abuse. She was fit & trim when I picked her up but the last few months she has gotton quite the tummy on her and it seems to rock back and forth when she runs. I know I should probably call the vet to make sure but she's been kinda friendly towards the stallion lately. (they can only see each other!) She lifts her tail and nuzzles him. Is there any way that I can tell if she is pregnant without calling the vet? Lisa with lots of love has turned into the most fun loving mare that I have!

There is no way to be sure - and if she IS bred she should be getting some vet attention, they need regular wormings and updated shots throughout the pregnancy. However, that being said, her being lovey with the stallion is about the opposite reaction you'd expect from a bred mare - they tend to hate on studs when they are pregnant. :)
