Some vets are not as up-to-date as we would like them to be... Although the LWO test has been out a while lol, since the late 90s. For reference, the horses I have posted pictures of are all LWO carriers, despite having "non-overo" appearance. LWO is the master of hiding on a horse.

Would probably be worth it for you to test NOW so you know if you have a chance of having to euthanize a foal or not.

At least test the stallion for Frame now, you need to know before he breeds another mare (yours or an outside mare). If he is a frame carrier, every mare needs to be tested to make sure they aren't a carrier before breeding to your stallion. Part of being a responsible breeding stallion owner ;)

I do not breed to outside mares. Only my 2. I will have him tested.

Ah she is so cute with that wooly coat! She is neck and neck with my mare who is at day 286 today. Do minis typically go to 340 as well or are they usually earlier or later? I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I don't know much about the breed.

Everything I have read and have experienced Minis can go anywhere from 300-320 days. 2 years ago I had a maiden mare go 340 days
