I like doing more than just 'Roundy Round' and Skippy is level headed enough that it's fun to train for other stuff. The BIG difference between him and my Arabians is, he actually spooks at things. My Arabs all just sort of spook in place, kind of give a big flinch and freeze. He goes sideways and then is all, "I meant to do that!" once you get him to stop and go forward again. It's really funny sometimes because I swear he just kind of zones out and forgets he's doing something new or in a new place and then all of a sudden.......WHEEEEEE we're goin' sideways. Then he's all BTDT after the spook, like he was never scared to begin with. I'd forgotten what riding a young horse of a breed other than Arab was like.

LOL! Nah! You just wake up one morning with an extra horse in the pasture and tell him it's his Christmas or Birthday gift...... I did that once, got a darling little pinto half Arab mare and just kept her out of sight until it was time to put her out with the others. Hubby came home from work and was like, "There's a strange horse in the pasture.". "Are you sure? It's not Romeo?". "Ummmm NO this one is pony sized and red and white, Romie is a BAY." OOOPS BUSTED! LOL! "AWWWW, you spoiled everything, she was your Christmas present, I was trying to hide her so you wouldn't notice."........LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!

Unfortunately that won't work if the one you're trying to fool is also the one who has to build run- ins and fences.......and is unfortunately smart enough to build for existing hayburners, not for future one's..... grr.......
But....I'm already working on " YOU have two horses, so don't complain"...
