Of course, bloodline are important.....

However, know how to raise a baby is priceless.

It is a lot of work and expensive but, will pay off.

I am working our hounds like I did my foals, it is working out great.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm staring to lean toward Trash, but I was talking to my trainer and she mentioned Topsail Whiz. Got me thinking about this guy - Nedpoint Quarter Horses - Banjo Whiz - definitely a proven sire. She's also adamant about Gunners.

I love Dun Gotta Gun (Know a son of his... absolutely gorgeous and talented, one of my favorites), but really need to stick with 1500 for this go-around. Can't afford to overlook shipping/vet/mare care. I don't mind APHA/ApHC, but I do want full registration. Chic Please did catch my eye.

Does anyone have experience with the Dual Pep line? I'd just like to know if there's a proven cross out there I'm overlooking. Also, any experience with Trashadeous or Banjo Whiz?

Will try to get a good photo in the next couple of days. Just been so busy lately!

Okay, I change my vote (Even if it doesn't mean much, lol)- Banjo Whiz is gorgeous, and his babies are stunning too. All of them. I'm not really knowledgeable about his bloodlines, though. :(

I know a stallion. His name is Dun It Smart Chic. Dun It Smart Chic is a 2006 stallion by Smart Little Steps (x Smart Chic Olena) and out of Ono Dun It Hollywood (x Dun It with Sting x Hollywood Dun It).

I have met this stallion, and he is one of the sweetest stallions ever. He is a beautiful buckskin, and has pretty darn good confirmation. His breeding fee is only $650 because he wasn't shown all that much at a young age apparently, but according to the trainer he has done well in nearly everything. I'm not sure about all of his records, but he would defidentally be one to consider.

Here are a few links for him:

I think that you would like him.

I forgot all about this stallion. I'm in love with him too!

His name is Pale Face Dunnit. For some reason their website is not loading for me but my computer acts up all the time. Look him up! He's a very handsome Palomino Stallion!

They might be updating their website because it worked for me this morning. There are videos of him on youtube and if you google image him you can see pictures. I forget how much his stud fee is but if I wanted to breed paints or quarter horses...he's be a stallion I'd probably use:) I love the bald face!

She's well bred (Dual Pep), and I've already discussed it with two trainers and they believe it's very worthwhile. So now I'm searching for the best my money can get - budget is around $1500. (I'll try to get a photo up soon) So far I've looked at:

The Great White Hope- The Great White Hope - Maranatha Farms Was told it is a good cross, but I've also heard some negative about Nu Chex horses.

This is the stallion I am using this year on my NRHA/NRCHA money earning daughter of Dun It. Nice stallion. Young still needs some more proving but the breeding is good the owner is nice and very motivated to prove him. I think his stud fee will go up and he will do well in both the show ring and the breeding shed.
Trashadeous- Trashadeous

Not non pro freindly. LOVE his sister would not use him if he was my only choice.

Colonelsmokingpep- Colonelsmokingpep I'm partial to gunners, but haven't found many in my price range

Over all nice horse. Would have to look at your mare and full pedigree and pictures to see if this would be a good cross.

Wild About Who- Wild About Who | Facebook Heard about him from a friend. He has a daughter in reining, but I don't think he's quite what I need

I'm kind of interested in a son of Rooster or Hollywood Dunit, but will take any suggestions. I'm breeding for a reiner. Pretty is a must, color would be nice (Definitely makes an easier resell if need be), but I really just want the best possible cross.

If you are thinking Rooster then take a look at Roosters Wrangler. I have one due by him here in about a month out of my Dun It mare. Should be a nice cross and foal. However you are putting hot on hot.
I'll also be discussing these with my trainer, so know that the internet is not the end all be all of my breeding decisions.

Thanks!

I would also look at Salonos Kicker. Nice well proven stallion double registered. Great out cross. Not normally a big fan of Col. Freckles top side but this is one of those exceptions.

Oh man....how could I forget this gorgeous man! Brooks or Dun. Scroll down to see him and the 5 other SUPER handsome stallions that this place has! Too bad I love Appys more! I scrolled through my favorites list and forgot this site the first time!

TABOR RANCH

Conformationally, can anyone explain why he is or isn't a nicely conformed horse? I think he looks great but I'm totally not an expert and I'd like to learn as much as I can.
