I don't think you should breed to either of them. Neither of them has done anything, and with the economy the way it is I don't think anyone but the best should be breeding. You say you will be keeping the baby forever, but what happens if you or one of your parents loses their job and you cannot afford it anymore? If you must breed, breed to something that has marketability, not just for color or disposition. Also, are you willing to spend the thousands of dollars in vet bills? Special mare care? Why not just buy a weanling if you want a baby so bad? You could probably pick one up for far less than what you will be spending in stud fees and vet bills. I'm not trying to be mean, but be realistic.
