Survey on weaning foals

Hi everyone

Please could anyone who breeds horses or has weaned a foal (or foals) answer my survey.
I am aware that the options available may not include some parts of how you wean but if you could choose the option that is as close as possible I would greatly appreciate it - If I had too many options, I would not be able to gather data appropriate for statistics.

My dissertation is researching which weaning methods are more practical in different Countries as well as how priorities differ. I need as many breeders to answer it as possible.
This could be published in an equine journal so please take the 2 minutes it takes to answer the questions.

Thank you (appreciated!)

I took it for you. I didn't find it to be dissertation level questions, but maybe that term is used differently in different countries/regions. Anyway, good luck with your research.

How condescending.
The questions aren't in the dissertation, the results are and only a small part of the study.

I don't think her answer was condescending at all. It was her opinion on the subject matter. Don't like it? Don't post asking for peoples help.

I'm not asking for help or opinions that include being rude. Simply survey answers.
Plus, by that reasoning I'm entitled to my opinion of unhelpful, rude comments - don't like it? Don't post on the thread.

Thanks to everyone who answered!

*shrugs* Well I personally agree with CCH. The questions and format were/are not graduate school quality IMPO. Looks like something a high schooler threw together.

And BTW posting here asking for people to complete the survey IS asking for help...

Your survey format is not as mathematically and scientifically sound as one would expect of the graduate level.

I agree with CCH and NdAppy. *Shrugs*

People with true credibility and integrity don't need to tell other people how great they are.

It's not in my dissertation merely providing me with a few statistics for a small part of it. It's a simple way of data collecting trying to give all people around the World suitable options.
300 people have already answered and this forum is the first to be disrespectful and think 'freedom of speech' gives you an excuse to be unpleasant. It's not meant to be mathematical or scientific, the results and the experiment part of the study will be.
I'm not here for annoying opinions from the peanut gallery, just for more American answers.

So if you're a breeder, your thoughts on weaning methods are welcome... otherwise, go find someone else to gang up on :)

Will you do me the favor of quoting what was rude? I'm having a hard time seeing anyone being uncalled for, aside from you.

Hermy-- not all Americans are rude. Please don't judge all of us by a few. Best to ignore the negativity and get back to your survey.. I'll go have a look at it - and good luck with your dissertation. Having done a few myself-- use what is helpful and factual- disregard the rest.

For those who don't like me-- it's mind over matter; I don't mind - - and you don't matter.
