Tillys baby is here!!

Well he's here! Tilly had her baby! This baby is my dream horse! I LOVE light colored buckskins and the fact that its Tillys baby makes him that much more special. I have had Tilly since she was a weanling, she was my first horse. She just turned 15. She taught me so many things growing up. She was my best friend. Anyway, she foaled out a beautiful buckskin colt on Saturday Morning. He is all I hoped for! I was hoping it would be a boy too!

He needs a name still. He's so energetic, he dosnt stay laying down for long and he's up nursing and then he makes mom chase him. He's just all over the place having a blast so I was thinking something along the lines of lots of energy/free spirit or I love his upside down rain drop on his forehead so something maybe along that line. Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

These two are from Saturday the day he was born

And this was this evening (sunday) :)

He is precious!! I am no genetics expert but he looks just like our filly Filly(her name, ;) )and she turned bay as she got older.

As for a name, Id play off his mommas name since you love her so much.

Congratulations! He is adorable, and sorry I can't help you with a name, but I love his perfect teardrop on his face, you don't see that too often.

He is definitely buckskin. Tilly was bred to a cremello stud. Which means the baby could have been one of three colors, buckskin, palomino, or smokey black. Heres a picture of daddy!

OOOH, his daddy is PURDY!

I wasnt meaning you were wrong. Filly just looked exactly like him when she was born, I thought shed be buckskin. But she darkened considerably as she aged and turned out bay. She was from a sorrel mare and black stallion. Like I said, color genetics are definitely not my forte, hehe.

He is cute. He has a little flame at the end of his nose, and in the pic it looks pink. Call him Flame..

Congrats! He is gorgeous! You could call him Stormy! The upside down rain drop along with his energy and spunk make me think of a storm.

Congratulations!! He's precious! I'm not great with names either but if your going off markings, Rain comes to mind and its a little unique for a horses name I think, at least I don't recall ever knowing a horse named Rain...?
Daddy is very handsome by the way! Good looking mamma too!

What a q-t-pie!
Give him a little time and he will probably name himself.
