Just to confirm, you only suspect you have a mule baby right? It could be a regular foal too?

Also, she's really pretty. Whatever you get is sure to be just as cute as her.

Thank you everyone! I hope I get a little mule, but it could be a regular foal too. There is really no way to tell!

I want to apologize for lying! I meant to get pictures, but I have LOST my CAMERA! D: I have been looking for it for 4 days! I will do my best to get pictures as sooooooon as I can!

On another note, I have another mare named Grace, who came from the same place, and is pregnant too! I didn't make a thread for her because I can only handle one thread at a time, lol. But, she is supposed to be due about the same time as Rose. I went out to give them their last meal of mare and foal feed, and I checked Grace... Her milk bag isn't full yet, but it is hard and she has wax on nipples. I know mares can wax up a while before they have their babies, but her belly has dropped today, her hoo haa is really relaxed, and her butt muscles are like jello. She has also had a complete change in her personality. When she is usually stand off ish, she is following me around now, wanting and begging to be messed with. Oh, and there is a terrible storm on it's way... severe thunder storm with hail and tornadoes... So, If she was going to have it, I would think it would be tonight, lol!!

So, even though Rose is still not ready to have hers, at least not tonight I don't think, lol, Grace, my dun and white mare (frame, sabino and splash) may be ready to have hers...

I will do my best to find my camera and get pictures for everyone!!!

WOW!! That's exciting!! We just had that was terrible..tornado took out a barn not far from our place...I was hoping the weather would scare the baby out of Annie...but no such luck...not yet anyways!! Well good luck and keep us all posted!!

Stay safe. I don't know how y'all do it dealing with that kind of weather. I'd be hiding in a basement half my life :)

Well, the storm went by without anything too exciting happening. It didn't even knock over the lawn chairs outside. But, Grace didn't foal either, lol.

On another note, I found my camera!! So I have plenty of pictures today. First I want to apologize for Rose being so dirty in the pics. They had just been let outside into the grassy field and they decided to roll as soon as they hit the grass, lol. But, I also got to see the baby moving around! It was bouncing up and down like a basket ball or something! I tried to get a video, but the baby stopped moving as soon as I turned my camera back on. Sneaky little thing. I love being able to see them moving around though - I like knowing that it's still alive in there.

I have been working a lot lately, so I haven't been able to do too much with the horses. I got the fence fixed so they could get out on some nice grass, and I check the mares once a day to see how they are doing, but I haven't been able to do much else. I realized that the fact that I have foals on they way still hasn't really hit me yet.

And I know it is nearly impossible, but I was thinking... what if both Rose and Grace decide to have their babies, on the same day... at the same time? I started to stress a bit over that!! Haha.

Well, I wont make you wait anymore. Here are some pictures from toady. I noticed her bag has gotten a considerable amount bigger. I am thinking she may not wait until June... what do you guys think?

Im sorry to report that last night, sometime after the sun went down and before the sun came up, Rose laid down to have her colt. It came out ears first, with it's nose tucked into it's chest, and sadly, neither Rose nor the colt made it. I feel like it was my fault because I hadn't even gone down to check her, but her bag was not full, and her hind end was not relaxed enough. The colt was alive just the day before because I saw it moving around. My dad assured me that there was nothing we could do, and even if I had been there, caught it, and called the vet, the foal wouldn't have made it, and the mare most likely wouldn't either because they would have had to cut her open to get the foal out. I hadn't checked on her because I thought she wasn't ready... but either way, they both didn't make it.

Oh, and just the crown and the ears made it out.. and it was a black mule foal...

Oh noooooo...Im so very sorry to hear about your losses :( I don't think its anything you sounds like something was terribly wrong that you would've had no control of at all. My heart breaks for sorry.
