Velvet - 13 days til due date

Hi everyone!

Took some pics of Velvet today. She has just 13 days til her due date (though it looks like she might be early, but yeah, you never know with mares. Lol )

Anyway, update on her progress:

  • Belly is bigger and pointier
  • she has more wax (She's had wax for 12 days)
  • udders have dropped down and a bit fuller
  • vulva is a bit more relaxed
Oh and her foaling stall is finished and looks absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!

And now we wait...some more....

:) Yeah me too poor girl.

But she seems so happy and content...she really does. Velvet is not the most affectionate horse on the planet but for the last month or so she has gone all soft, gentle and calm. She neighs at me when she sees me, she seems to want to be in my company...its really sweet!
