    Vet was out today.

Well had the vet come out today to check the mares to see who is bred and who is not. Ended up at 50%. Cassie is in foal and Gracie is open. Would have preferred to get both mares if foal but IF I had to pick one to be in foal it would be Cassie.

SO in about 11 months should have anouther little one running around and bugging all the older horses.

I may have seen it elsewhere, but if so I don't remember - who did you breed Cassie to?

So can you breed, say, now? Or its too late? Is there any certain time of year you want to do it? (I assume probably not delivering in winter)

You can breed at any point in the year. However there are better times then others depending on climate. I like to breed so the foal hits the ground between mid march and end of may at the latest. This mare is a pain and has up until this year been an every other year mare. So I am happy that she is in foal. Bit disappointed that Gracie did not take but will get her going to breed the first of April next year.
