Vitani's Foaling Thread

I wanted to start posting here to have help on guess when she will be close. My family has had there share of foals. (Bred on purpose and horses that they have bought bred knowing and unknowing. We like to adopt and rescue when we look for new horses) this will MY first foal.
Vitani falls in the case of rescue. She has good lines and I find her very pretty and unique for a sorrel. She is a great mare. The guy that had her rode her to young and did something to her stifle. She would lock up and so he stopped feeding her because she was "USELESS" and was going to sell her for meat when a neighbor stood in and asked the guy if he would let her find a home for her and pay him what he would have got from meat. She came to us starved and just flat out bad looking bad feet everything. We brought her to the vet and he said she had a stifle issue brought on due to weak muscle or something like that it was so long ago. He gave us a work out routine and as long as we stick to it she does not lock up and is not sore at all. Her only down fall is it take longer for her to get fast after you get into the lope it takes a few seconds before she kicks off due to weaker back legs but she is still great we got her when she was 2 years old now she is 7 and I have competed her in barrels and other speed events and also done trails my little sister competes on her now and this foal is for me.
I know there are some harsh people on here and if you have any suggestions or anything I will listen but if I feel like I am being attacked I will just ignore due to the fact I don't want to start drama or an argument. =)
First off pic when she was only a couple months prego.
Then pics of her udder and side the day before yesterday, yesterday, and today.
I am starting this because it seems she is picking up on progressing and I love reading the threads on here and would love everyones help guessing when she will go so I can hopefully be there =) Sorry for this long post =P 340 days will be on the 30th of March
I love reading about the mares on here but I am so into reading I never post =P
(SHE IS MAIDEN) Just can't stop adding stuff I will shut up now lol.

Thanks guys! I love her to death! By the way she was bred to a Blue Roan. So if I remember correctly from the color calculator the color chances are
25% Blue Roan
25% Bay Roan
25% Black
25% Bay
Because he is dominant black gene or whatever it called lol I am not good with genes or know much.

If the stud is homozygous black and heterozygous roan and the mare is heterozygous agouti, that would be correct.

If the stud is heterozygous black, you have a 50% chance of getting chestnut/sorrel

I love genetics :D

If your mare is homozygous agouti, you can only get bay/brown foals when the sire throws black.

If the stallion is heterozygous for roan and black and your mare is heterozygous agouti, the foal can be: blue roan, bay/brown roan, red roan, black, bay/brown or chestnut/sorrel

Horse Vertebrate Mammal Mane Stallion

Horse Vertebrate Mammal Stallion Mane

This is the stud. I searched forever and had a lot of people tell me they loved him mainly for his personality and I got a hold of the guy and he said that he would do the breeding but it would be his last one he was retiring after that I had people coming out of the woodwork saying how jealous they were because they have loved him and now they will never have a baby out of him made me feel better about my choice I spent a day there and he is so much better looking in person and such a sweetheart.

No matter what the sex I'll keep it. Well the mare has been my trail slash barrel horse and I love both but I would really like to get into cutting or reining so I will try that out with the foal but I believe in doing what the horse loves the mare is a really good trail horse but I can feel that she gets excitement from the barrels more than the trails and loves to turn and burn so we mainly use for that to keep her happy if the foal does not enjoy reining or cutting then we will keep tryin to find what fits the foal best and get into that. If that makes sense? Kind of long sorry

I didn't get any pics being that it is windy and raining. I noticed today that she has dropped more and her hip bones and tail bone are more prominent she also has a more swollen vulva and oozing clear stuff out and has crusty reddish stuff on her vulva its very relaxed and its a darker pink inside. I took her temp at its 97.6 they have a shelter and two pens they can go into she is staying in the pen that my other mare is not in which usually she is stuck to the other mares hip.
