WANTED: FQHA STALLION (help me find one?)

Ok, so we're looking for a foundation QH stud to breed to our mare. HE MUST BE FOUNDATION. That is pretty much the only requirement. Other than good conformation. Not sure if we are doing live cover or AI, so stallions from all states will be considered. Wanting performance bred.

So can you help me out?

This is the mare we will be breeding. And this is her pedigree.

Shez Fine Gold

Sorry their not confo pics :/

To me picking a stallion b/c he is foundation bred is the wrong reason. Pick a stallion who fits what your mare needs to compliment her and to produce a foal for what it is you want. If the stallion who give you that is foundation then that is great.

There are a lot of great stallions out there that are foundation bred however they do not advertise that way. Reining cutting ropeing stallions are normally foundation bred but they where bred to be reining, cutting, and rope horses not foundation horses.

I did not ask for critique on the reasons I am looking for a stud. I asked for help finding a stallion.

I think that the ONE REQUIREMENT that I have is not too much to ask. OF COURSE I want a stud that copliments the mare. And I'm sure I can find a foundation QH that will do just that. I do not own her, and her owner will not breed to anything but a stud with high foundation. He has asked me and my father to help him choose the stud, as we will be raising and breaking and possibly keeping the colt.

At least I'm not asking for color. :)

If you really want help finding a stallion that compliments your mare, you should post proper conformation pictures.

Pick any top reining or cutting stallion that compliments the mare and you will end up with a stallion that is high foundation. It is not hard to find one. However you still need not only better pictures but what the resulting foal will be used for. As there are a lot of stallions out there who are high foundation some are better at cutting some at reining so at roping some at reined cow horse.

Picking a stallion just b/c of a % is no better then picking one b/c of color.

Every one of my mares are 96%+ however that is not why they are being bred and the stallions are also very high % foundation that is now why they where picked. You can find a very nice stallion with good performance lines without having to need a %.

No where in you OP do you state that the horse belongs to someone else or that these are their requirements. That information should have been stated then and there.

As it stands, nhrareiner has pretty much said what I think. I would still be thinking that if the information in you latest post was in the original post.

Pass on the information that you were given to the mare's owner.

I'm SORRY I forgot to say that she was not mine, didnt think it would be a big deal.

I'm not some 14 yr old looking for "pretty ponies", I asked for help from other educated people to expand the field of horses I was looking at. I did not expect to get critisized for that. I had one requirement, that he be foundation blood.

All I wanted to do was simply expand the feild of horses I was looking at so I could find the best match for the mare. Didn't know that was a crime.
