Wanting to breed my Half-Arabian... Help?

Hello,

I have a registered Half Arabian mare (National Show Horse) named Krista. Her registered name is Kisthis (HAHR 1A348613). I purchased her over the summer. I'm learning more about her, but sometime in the future I would like to breed her and I'm looking to find suitable stallions.

I don't know ANYTHING about breeding horses, but I would love to learn if anyone has helpful advice. What stallions are a better match for my mare? I'll get some pictures up to show her conformation. I feel that she is portrays the American Saddlebred side of her more than the Arabian so I'm thinking that maybe she would need a 'finer Arabian' type? Is this a good or bad idea? Also, I'm not too concerned about the coloring of the foal, and this question may be totally unrelated, but as far as I know the only colors that exist in my mare's bloodlines seems to be chestnuts, bays, and grays.

My mare is registered as a solid frame bay overo, but has minimal markings. Both of her parents are solid and without color and as far as I can tell none of her ancestors have any paint genetics displayed. Is it possible that her mom just threw the gene? Is it highly unlikely that my mare would ever throw the paint gene? I would love to learn more about this as well. (:

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm looking for a National Show Horse stud, an American Saddlebred stud or an Arabian stud. What would be more advisable with her bloodlines? My mare has strong show ring bloodlines and I would like to further her lines and eventually show the foal, too.

Yes, I'll try to get a picture up either tonight or sometime this week. I know it can be difficult to assess what I'm asking without a visual idea of my mare. (: Thank you for responding.

Once I see a pic, I could come up with a few names maybe. But, as far as the Arabian Horse Association is concerned, if you want the foal to be registered as a 1/2 Arabian, then you can only breed her back to a pure bred Arabian Stallion.

Her sire, Aploz +// was a several time US National Champ Country English Pleasure Horse. Is she a saddle seat mare? Trots big or no? That would also kind of narrow down a suitable stallion, even of the pure bred Arabs.

Can you post her dam line (AHA only gives the dam's name, not her pedigree)? So I can see who she is from on the Saddlebred side? Looking forward to pics, I LOVE NSH horses.

Well to register the foal, you need to go with an Arabian stallion. HAHR only will register the foal if one parent is a PB arabian. And NSH has new rules regarding the parents of foals that are registered (including ALL HA may be registered NSH now, among other rules). I personally, would not breed her to anything with Huck in them. I don't care for doubling up on him, because he did not have the strongest back end. Bridled great, but his rear is a weakness. I'd probably go more with the Bask route.. A Temptation, Mamage, Triften, etc.
