Default Well - we THOUGHT we had a smoky cream baby!

We were hoping for the world's first smoky cream TB...

My Pearlescent mare (perlino TB) had a filly on April 21st by my Guaranteed Gold stallion (cremello) so cremello, perlino and smoky cream were the colour options. Nothing else was genetically possible

She was born a very dark palomino color with chocolately mane and tail hairs.

When she dried off, here is a picture of her at about 60 minutes old:

and:

and here is one from the next day at one day old:

and here is one at one week old:

So - this now makes her the 4th perlino TB in the world along with her dam. So far - there are only the 4 perlino TB mares - no colts at all, and there are no smoky creams - male or female - in existence. So - we'll hopefully be able to change that when the next foal is born!

This fabulous filly was sold in utero to my client in the States, so once she is weaned and ready to go, she will be heading to her new home in CO ...

And her name?

Very aptly "Champagneandpearls" ...
