Tobiano with sabino. Sabino's causing the jagged edges and faux roaning.

I think I understand, Will she always have the roaning?

Yes. The roaning won't go away. You may find there's less or more depending on the season, but it never actually disappears.

I have a Clydesdale mare who in the summer, unless you look closely, looks white... in the winter you can see a "grey pinto" pattern on her. She is a Sabino (no "pinto" other than Sabino at work) and she doesn't carry the grey mutation AT ALL (it doesn't exist within the Clydesdale breed)

I also have a chestnut Sabino (pretty classically sabino... high whites and a big blaze) who has body roaning, that roaning gets heavier in the summer, and less in the winter (he seems almost "solid" chestnut in the winter... but in the summer people "assume" he's a roan). He has no Roan gene (true roan)... so Sabino is the cause here too...
