Whats your guess?

I have a mare due on the 15th. I am trying to figure out what color the foal might be and thought I'd see what you thought. My mare is a solid chestnut out of a red roan sabino paint stud who is out of Sonny D. My mares bottom side is double bred Easy Jet lines.

The stud she is bred to is Black and white. He is out of a black Dash for cash stud. His dam is also BW, but her full brother was a tri-colored buckskin. So any guesses?

Well your mare can only pass on red. But she could also have agouti, which makes a black horse bay.

The stallion might have a red gene. If so, he could sire chestnut or black.

So really, you could get black, bay, or chestnut, all with or without white.

I am gonna venture a guess that it will be a sorrel with white. Sometimes you never can tell though. I would love to see some pictures of both your mare and the foal when it is born.

color is a fun one my mare's dam was a solid sorrel and her sire was a black and white paint her grandsire on her sire's side was black and white and her grandsire on her dams side was a sorrel. And I got a black and white I love it! It could be any of the colors listed above by another post.

I'll defenitly post some pictures when this colt is born. I bred this same mare to the sire of of the stud I used this year and got a very well built bay with a huge blaze, so I'm also thinking this foal will also be bay and possiably painted.

I just am not sure, there is every color of the rainbow in my mare and the sire. One is paint the other paint breeding stock. I'm pretty excited about this colt. This is what the last 15yrs of my friends breeding program has come down to. Everything from superior halter show to world champion rope and racing horses all showing on its papers. Along with some of them doing well in barrels and still very easy temperments on the trail.

Thanks. Best percentages were black tovero, bay tovero, chestnut tovereo at 16pct each. After that it dropped to 4pct on those colors and being sabino.

FYI there is no such thing as a Tri-Colored paint. a buckskin is just a buckskin
