Smile Zavrina's Foaling Thread

Our seven year old maiden Thoroughbred mare Princess Puchi is due April 1st. She is in the foaling stall/area and being watched like a hawk because she is rapidly getting ready. Of course she might pull the maiden card and give me six more weeks of sleepless nights, ups and downs! She has been one very uncomfortable girl this afternoon.

Before anyone who doesn't already know asks, "Zavrina" is bred to our Thoroughbred stallion.

Feel free to keep me entertained... color & birth date guesses anyone? The stallion has prodcued two chestnuts and one palomino, fillies. Also, we are open to registered name suggestions, I think the barn name has already been picked out.

She has been doing a lot of this...

Relaxed butt muscles is an understatement

Our stallions first foal was a palomino filly on April fools day last year. I told him to shoot for that again...

320 days today and we're hangin' out.
On day 312 there was a lot of baby movement during the day. Then she was sweating, pacing, pawing, laying down etc... in the middle of the night but that passed (thankfully). She has been hanging back in the herd a bit lately. Tonight she decided to flip the b*tch switch and state that she will no longer stand for "washing" of any kind. No looking either! Where does sweet mare gone HAG fit on the "I'm going to foal-o-meter"?

LoL. Is that sweat in the last picture or did you wash her?

She's soooo close!
