Zenyatta lost her foal

How sad... this means we won't get to see a Rachel Alexandra foal VS a Zenyatta foal.... and if we do, they will be about six months apart in age....

Shoot! :( how disappointing. Hopefully they re-breed her this year for a 2012 foal. A bit of an age difference won't matter; they will still race under the same age as long as they're both born in 2012.

Still sort of wondering why they bred her to Bernardini of all stallions ...

Agreed. For such an amazing filly, he just does not measure up.

Aww, shoot! That's so sad. Oh well, sometimes the best things come from the tragedy after all....

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

.... breeding her to a big horse, size wise, would make the foal enormous and on four little legs.... other than that, I don't know.

I realize that, but it would have been statistically more even had the foals been born a month apart.... now, the age difference will most like play into it, or at least into the minds of the sports casters.

^^ unless of course one has a filly & the other a colt, in which case they would probably never race against eachother unless of course the filly was anything like its dam ;)
