Question Andalusian Horses

I am thinking about getting an Andalusian/Paint cross colt but I have no experience with Andalusians. What are their temperments like and would they make a family horse?

The difficulty lies not in the new ideas, but escaping the old ones.....

Im thinking about leasing an andalusian, who lives on a farm which breeds andalusians almost exclusively.

All of the horses seemed very level headed and calm.
The one I want to lease is only 5 years old and beginners and children ride her all the time. Me being one of those beginners, haha!

Andalusians are exceptional horses...especially if you want to learn about yourself! They are honest and typically do not put up with rough handling. I have found them all to by extremely generous and sensitive. Of course, like with any horse, they are each an individual.

If you want to know what the temperament/personality of the colt will be, you should definitely look at the parents. These traits are very strongly passed on in Andalusians...more so than with many other breed.

Andalusians are an easy favorite. They are beautiful, smart, athletic and, as I already stated, honest.

My horse is an andalusian, and I just can say ... go ! It was a dream for me to buy that kind of horse, for their temperament, capacities in dressage, natural beauty ... and the dream became reality with Hizan ! He is so wonderful, mervellous ... I'm just a fan lol

I'm agree with all that ajegberg said !

Another absolute fan and supporter.

Thye are intelligent, helpful, fun and friendly. From arena to trail, dressage to sheer pleasure.

Yes, they must have been handled well, then that good foundation gives you a lifelong pleasure ride.
