There is probably already a thread out there about this noble breed. I met my first Andy at the Kentucky Horse Park breed barn when I was six, been saving my money ever since. I just brought home a grey Andy stallion nicknamed Al and he is spirited, like some people say, but still is kind and gentle. He is not spooky in new situations but rather he acts curious about then keeps on going. He is always very curious about what a person is doing when he sees/hears them.

What are your likes/dislikes of the breed? Would you own one or more? Would you get one from Spain or the US? What discipline would you like your Andy to perform in ? Etc....

Pictures pictures!!!

I myself have an andalusian/oldenburg cross. Sire was a PRE imported from Spain.

He really is a lovely, lovely horse. My coaches remain astounded how willing and forgiving he is. He is my first horse, and he arrived green. Whatever I ask of him, he does without any complaints... even though I sometimes ask in ways that are confusing or not consistent. He loves kids and adores dogs.

It's exciting because tomorrow will be his first time as a lead line pony! I just love that my horse can be sensitive enough for dressage, and on the other hand, can be safe enough for kids. =)
