I have a friend who named 3 brothers (horses) after the Earp boys. Wyatt, Vergil and Morgan. I love those names, If you arent familier with them they are American old west lawmen. I also like Lucky as he is lucky to have you :) On the same line of American west names if you wanted to stay with a J there is Jessie James and John Wesley Hardin (John Wesley for short) Judge Roy Bean (Judge for short).

hehehehe I've heard of wyatt earp but not the brothers. Wyatt is actually a cool name too. I suggested lucky at one point to cause everyone was saying how he was lucky we bought him and are treating him the right way now

Who would ever have thought that choosing a name could be so difficult?? Lol I usually just wait until I've had them for a little bit and they usually name themselves. But there are so many names that could suit jarred lol some of them I can't say on here hehehehehe

I love his head, and he sounds like quite a character. I hope he gets over the kicking thing though!

Just a few name ideas off the top of my head.

I like Raider, which was already mentioned. Also like ...

Tristan
Merlin
Rocky or Rock
Duncan

lol one of our dogs name is merlin :)

Thanks to everyone for the new names. There are a few from there going on the list. Just for anybody just coming along to the forum, ill add a more recent pic of him since he has fattened up and stuff. Might provide more inspiration lol

And yes, the kicking has stopped completely now yay

Im liking raider a lot still but its funny, the longer we have him, the harder it is to think of a name cause we are getting used to the old name. Still don't want to keep it though :)

One of my dogs is named Merlin too. ;)

Since you're getting used to Jerred, maybe you should choose a name that sounds a little similar.

Jerrol
Jerry
Kerry
Merry
Fred (just kidding!)

If you're into fantasy (as Merlin implies) how about a character from a favorite series or movie? Perhaps another wizard, to go along with Merlin?

Frodo
Gandalf

The other thing you can do, which I do whenever I'm adopting a new dog, is browse through the baby name sites on the web. Sometimes a name will jump out at me. You can search on a country/culture, or on boys/girls, or sometimes on other things to narrow the field.
