Any other connemara owners or what do you think of them?
I own a fab connemara and was wondering if anybody'd like to share theirs?
If you are not fortunate enough to own one, what do you think of the breed? :)
I don't own one and have never even seen one in real life, but from what iv'e read they are said to be very intelligent, spunky, but gentle, freindly, and easily trained and that sounds like a good horse and they look like a cob-type pony and iv'e always loved that look, cute and sturdy! Yes I think I would like the breed:)
I don't have one, but I have ridden one, many, many years ago - he was a farmers pony and hadn't been schooled at all, but he behaved himself very well when I rode him!
Would love to have one, but I'm miles too tall for one these days
I used to own one, as a teenager I broke her in she was four. Trained her thoru to qualifying for horse of the year show in hunters, showjumped to 1.20m, and evented to 1*, and dressage championships. She was physically super talented. Her grandad jumped at the olypics back in the day. They are incredibly tough horses and you never get into a fight with them as you wont win. But have them work for you and they are fantastic. Ther are incredibly
Tough sensible, hardy ponies, but not pushovers, but trained right they can be great for any level rider even novices .
I own one!! Just got him last month and love him to pieces. He is actually a Connemara/Qtr horse cross, but told he's 3/4 Connemara. He is super friendly, I can rub on him, put my face up to his, he has a great disposition. I love how sturdy they are, built like a tank. He has done jumpers, vaulting, and competetive trail riding in his life, but will be my UBER cute trail pony. I have never seen a face like his, it just melts me.
I love Connemaras and have wanted one for years!!! My TB stallion A Fine Romance has been bred to a couple of Conn xTB mares for 3/4 TB Conn. X's - and they have been lovely,
But I want one of my own!
Love love love them owned and rode many!
To be honest I think the greatest ones are born and bred in Connemara Galway they sow the tru breed charactersitics best
