Default APHA lines - Hot Scotch

My friend just bought a APHA gelding and I'm curious to hear about his bloodlines. What are they known for?
Her gelding is four, but there's a photo of him when he was younger on this webpage. His name is Mr High On Scotch. His pedigree is there, too:
Paint Your Barnes' Ranch
Here's his sire:
Wind Spirit Ranch - HOT SCOTCH GO LUCKY
Thank you.

Funny how there can be so many unrelated horses with the same basic name. The only horse I knew of with "Scotch" in his name was Scotch Judge and after looking up, he is completely unrelated to your friends horse. I am not familiar with any of the horses in his pedigree.

However, I will post some of the info I found in his bloodlines. It appears that they are best know for halter, western pleasure, and trail type classes.

Hot Scotch Man (grandsire):
APHA Sup Halter/ROM (Western Pleasure and Trail) Sup (halter)

Frame Overo + Splash Bay Dun Overo but registered as buckskin.
APHA Superior Halter; ROM Western Pleasure and Trail
1996 Leading Sire of Open Halter Point Earners
1996 Leading Broodmare Sire Of Halter Points
1985 Honor Roll Champion Halter Stallion
1985 APHA World Champion Aged Stallion
1984 APHA World Champion 3 Year Old Stallion sire of Many World Champions, Futurity Winners, Versatility Horses. get have over 5000 halter points and over 5000 performance points.

Here is a link to his full pedigree if anyone was interested.

Here is the story about Hot Scotch Man...I'm not posting this for a critique he's already proven himself to be successful.

Smrobs he's one of the most gorgeous horses I've ever seen. I looked at a granddaughter of his and fell in love she wasn't weaned yet but had his flash all over her. Unfortunately thats when things went south here so I didn't get her however I know where the people live and maybe one day I'll get me a "Scotch"
