Breeds were made by man. We the humans, took the qualitites we wanted and we created Racehorses, cow horses, jumpers, etc.
Every breed DOES have it's differences. and some things were bred into a breed and some things were not. you can take a cow horse and jump it, but it's not going to win the Grand National. and you can take a thoroughbred and team pen with it, but it may be too spooky to enjoy it. YES, THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS TO EVERY RULE. but in General, there are traits in the breeds that are expected. i expect an arab to have high energy. i expect a warmblood to be tall. i expect an Appaloosa to be intelligent.
we created these breeds to do what we needed them to do. the Appaloosa( topic of THIS thread) was bred by the Nez Perce indians. they bred for good feet, intelligence, bravery, and easy keepers. they bred for color also, but the first qualities were more important to them. this has nothing to do with discrimination, it is about differences in breeds.
and having differences is perfectly fine. i don't see what the problem is.
