I had a horse just like this when I was younger. My family raises Ap's. I beat almost anything when she was younger she was chestnut with a large blanket and as she has gotten older she has roaned out. You can tell she was at one time chestnut becasue of the color on her legs. Usually in Ap's the legs are the last to change color. The reason I believe she had a blanket is bc if you imagine a line from her withers to her stifle area you can see an obvious difference in the coat pattern. My gelding at the age of 15 looked just like her, I will have to look for a picture!!!He also had a flaxen mane and tail that got whiter with age. He was really striking when he was born!!!
