I was initially thinking maybe Fjord, but nothing really points too it apart from his neck. Fjord crosses are always dun for starters, his mane is WAY too thin for a Fjord cross, their backs are typically long and flat (no withers) and they do not have such "well-developed" hindquarters. Their haunches are rather weak-looking compared with the rest of their bodies.
