Aqh/aph?

I just have a question surely based on my observation and the previous owners statements..

I have a horse, who is really built and looks like a QH, but only has Paint markings when his coat is short... Some times he is white and some times hes pali paint. I think i have some examples.... but what could he be registered wise, I have no papers on him. Im just asking because the question lingers in my mind.

If his paperwork was in order, he would have enough white on his belly to be registered as an overo through APHA.

Paints are mostly made up of QHs in their background - so build-wise they would be the same. The papers are more dependent on the sire & dam's registration.

All I pay my psychiatrist is cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me any day!

He does have papers then? Yeah - then what he is registered is already determined. You can have paints without white markings (I have one) and can have QHs with markings. Let us know what you find out.
