AQHA Bloodlines-any info on these lines?

Looking at a 2 yr old for a project. We are looking for nice all around western horse. WE may put some reining training on it, depending.

Sire:Cool Knight Comet Quarter Horse

Dam: THere are 2 when we search her name. How does that happen? WE are waiting to hear back from the wonder as to the year she was foaled, and I will let you know.

Here name is Alamitos Dude. **SEE BELOW** Found it!

WHat do the red ** mean on the pedigree?

DUH!! HEre is the filly herself, so we know which dam it is!

HYPP and Herda are unknown. I have looked into testing, which is about $50 for both tests and we can get the mane/tail hairs when we go see this one.

THanks!

I believe the red marks on the reg. mean that the horse is famous. Like pco Bueno for example was famous.
I have 2 quarter horses, one is a reiner and she has doc remedy and fillinic on her papers and they have red marks next to their names.

It means there's a picture of the horse…click on the name (blue line) and when the pedigree for that horse comes up, click the tiny square picture in its name at the very top and a photo will come up.

It also means that the horse with the red mark next to the name has done something special. I know that because if you look at all those horses with the red marks they all won highly in their discipline. Especially the ones furtherest to the right ,they are the legends and in breeding they were the ones that started the quarter horse line .

Interesting breeding. Racing lines and typical western lines. Most of the lines are way too far back, but I like Zippos Knight Rider, the grandsire.

Her sire is for sale: Quarter Horse Horse for Sale in Delevan, New York

ETA: I can't find any information on the sire or dam, so it's a risk if you're going off of lines alone. Most of the big names are just too far back. Unfortunately, that is a problem you're going to run into with a lot of young horses.

If you are going to teach a horse something and have a good relationship, you don't make him learn it - you let him learn it.

Thanks for your input-we have not decided whether to go see her, probably so, as it is not too far, but we will definitely get mane and tail hair for HYPP and Herda testing.

Good idea…Zippo Pine Bar is a HERDA carrier, from his dam Dollie Pine who inherited it from sire Poco Pine whose sire was Poco Bueno.

Not on all breed. That is user input so anyone can put any info on any horse. The red mark only means there is a picture for that horse. I can put in a horse.

Example: Here is the pedigree for my all around mare. She is a nice mare well bred for a all around horse but is just now being finished. She has a red mark next to her name.

I Pine for Diamonds Quarter Horse
