Arabian Bloodlines

I'm leasing an Arab. I'm excited. I've always been a fan, despite not knowing a thing about them. Her name is Catalina Comet, AKA Cat or Miss Kitty. Can anyone tell me about her bloodlines? What is she bred for? I want to use her for endurance/CTRs.

Looks like she is polish egyptian and crabbet. good combination.
She should do well in endurance. Those older bloodlines were not bred for a specific discipline. Those horses were versatile and used for different things.
Shame todays breeding practices are becoming so specialized IMO.
Good luck with her. Shalom

All I really know is that she's super cute and she and Lacey are related!

Miss Lace has Comet and Ferzon/Gazon too! Those aren't crazy unusual bloodlines for a Polish-bred Arabian but they are my favorites!
If I had to choose an all time favorite stallion, Comet would be it - he was SO GORGEOUS! :) And he wasn't all toothpick-y. He looked like he could go all day and then some. Supposedly his offspring generally inherited a whole lot of drive (Lacey sure did! haha) and one heck of a trot (Lacey won at that too! haha). He was race-bred and sired quite a few winners, but died before he had really produced a whole lot - only 86 offspring! "Only", hahaha.

Lacey is crazy butt-high too...I wonder if it's genetic.

Rest peacefully, Lacey.

Lacey and Cat are related? That's awesome! Sistassss.

Oh my gosh, can Cat trot. I have never seen something so floaty! Her canter looks like a stiff giraffe...But that trot!

I've never seen a butt high Arab until I saw Cat. It's so funny. Charming awkward.

She has a lot of names in there that I personally love. Ferzon (My boy's G-Grandad and my late mare's granddad.) is one of my most favorite sires, as well as Bask. Your lovely lease mare also has Susecion, which I love. She's an aristocrat mare.

Overall lovely breeding. As DB said, not bred for anything specifically, but will likely be pretty good at most things. You're going to have loads of fun with her!

She's very nice, I can see why you like her. Yup, Polish/Russian/Crabbet and a smidgeon of Egyptian in there. Nice blend of some very well-known horses.
