So, I just heard about this apparent glorious floating trot arabians have:D, so since I have a quarab, I wanted to check it out, read about it....

:shock:And I dound squat..... LOL!

I found no description other than "check out this amazing floating trot", or and videos... well maybe a few, but Im not seeing much of a difference. Not sure if thats what Im used to seeing in my horses or if its not much of a difference to begin with....

And on a side note: I've been told by others who have ridden my mare that she is smooth, but I wouldnt say that:lol:, lol.... Not because she doesnt, but bcI have no clue how to keep my butt in that seat:oops:, lol....

My mare does the floaty trot thing, but only when she is wound up. Tail up, head up, seems like she is trotting about a foot above the ground. She only does it when nervous or excited. I have no idea if she does it when I'm on her...when she winds up, I normally want to get off ASAP & try to calm her down. :-(

Some Arabs have that floaty movement, while others don't. My horse is halter bred and he has a fairly nice trot, and my friends Arab (also halter bred) has a really awful looking trot. It all depends on the horses personality, breeding, and training.
