Arabian History--El Bahja Deamant and DP Black Smoke

I seem to posting a lot of similar topics lately...lol.

Anyway, I've decided that I want to find out as much as I can about the horses in my Arabian's pedigree, their stories and what they've accomplished. Some are easier than others.

The two I'm focusing on right now are El Bahja Deamant and DP Black Smoke. Both were owned by Mildred Tresierra. According to some research, she owns Dragon Place Arabians in BC, Canada. That's where the information ends. I searched Dragon Place on google and tried every combination of words and phrases that I could come up with. I searched the horses' names, I searched Mildred Tresierra, but I can't find anything.

Does anyone know where I could look to find out more, or what websites could give me more information? Thanks in advance. :)

You could try contacting the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry.

If you are on the Arabian Horse Association Datasource, you can look up horses that way. It is quite similar to The Jockey Club Pedigree search for horse's, however you can search trainers. Also search the barn name under the Marketplace tab and clicking the Arabian Farm Directory. If you have pedigree on hand, look up grand sire or grand dam on both sides.
Oh yeah, the website is arabianhorses.org

Thanks guys! I could contact the registries, maybe. Might bring up something. :P I don't have Datasource anymore -- mine expired a few months ago (I'd gotten it for a month just to find out some basic information about certain Arabians, but I didn't have time to look for anything else, lol). Otherwise I'd try it for sure. But there's something similar online somewhere where I could check for farms...hmmm...

I would ask the registry how to contact the original farm and take it from there.

Hi--I used to own a DP Black Smoke son back in the 1980s--I believe his sire is Malabar Duke and dam is Spark of Magic. Black smoke was sold to a farm in Germany, you will find it online if you google his name, with photos of him there to see! I traced his genealogy way back as a teenager but that was before the internet! Lots of Egyptian blood.
Millie tresierra was an older lady back in the 80s so I imagine she's out of the horse breeding business now. They produced some lovely and athletic horses!
Hope this helps
