Maybe your mare didn't get handled much before you got her, and some horses can get claustrophobic when put in a stall, maybe it will just take her some time to get used to her new surroundings.....perhaps she had never been away from her previous barn and this is all overwhelming for her. Sounds like you are doing a good job with her.

Thankyou to everybody who has helped me and suggested things. Yeah I think that the guy who the previous owner braught her from taught her everything and handled her really well as she doesnt mind being touched all over. Then when the kid I braught her from had her I don't think he did anything with her so she just needs a tune up. I went to see her today and spend an hour and a half grooming her and making her look pretty I groomed the inside of her back legs her belly etc... every part of her that I thought she would have a problem with, but she didnt. So im very very pleased with the progress we have made today. Thanks again to everybody's help.
