Best bloodlines for English Pleasure

So my daughter wants to find a weanling/yearling AQHA or APHA colt to train in Hunter Under Saddle. What bloodlines should I be looking for to excel in English classes?

Thanks in advance

Skys Blue Boy. He's got 170+ congress and world champion/reserve champion winners. His bloodlines pretty much dominate english AQHA/APHA/ApHC events.

Also now is the time to get one of his babies, as he passed away 10/20/2012.

HUS horses that you'll find that dominate the ring in the AQHA world are....

Skys Blue Boy
Last Detail
Coasts N' Tails
Luke At Me
Iron Age
These Irons Are Hot
Alotta Luke
Million Dollar Luke
Its All About Blue
Iron Enterprise
Natural Iron
Allocate Your Assets
Hot Ones Only
The Only Escape

And some others I can't think of right now.

I think Zippos Sensation is a Western Pleasure horse, even though he was the sire of The Big Sensation.

I wouldn't go near him based on who the owner is, but op looks to be buying not breeding? The mare I value more than the stud. Stud makes no matter if it's not a compliment.

I will be the first to admit, I don't know squat about AQHA or APHA bloodlines but the above statement is as true as they come. So many people are hung up on the stud alone. They will have a mediocre mare and want to breed to a great stud thinking they will produce the next world champion. Bloodlines and conformation come from both sides. The mare is a huge factor as well. Look for the stud that best complements the mare. Study the pedigrees of both sides. Good luck.
