Cool Breed??

this is my 12 year old, thoroughbred mare. the other day, someone asked me what else she had in her, and that got me thinking..... she's an ex polo pony and very nimble if that helps, and she is 15 hands approx.
i'm very curious ... :)

Did you check her lip for a tattoo? She looks like a Tbred to me.

Check her upper lip to see if she has a tattoo. If she does, she's purebred TB.

Our TB's didn't have a tatoo? I don't think they do that in Australia....

She would only have a tattoo if she had been headed to the track. At 15H, she was never going to race. There are plenty of short PB TBs out there. She looks full to me.

Just curious do you mean only in america horses don't have tattoos if they aren't heading to the track or anywhere. My tb doesn't have one and he definitely raced a bit. Also what does PB mean.

Sorry about that. Yes. In the US all major racing organization require tattooing. TB, Standardbred, QH, Arab and Appys all have their own unique numbering and lettering system to assit in keeping all the records straight.

PB is pure bred (or peanut butter)
