Breed Guess, rescue pony

Misty is an 18 mo old pony filly. Approx 12 hands. Mother was reported to be a 14HH paint mare. Father "some sort of pony".

Misty has a bulging forehead and dished face which reminds me of an Arab.

Any ideas?

Spent a whole hour today laying in a pasture, waiting for a sparkling vampire to show up. Alas, I woke up and looked over, only to find a mound of horse crap. Sigh.

I should note she does have mottled blue eyes, sabino markings you can see.

My guess would be the other half is either hackney or welsh.

All I pay my psychiatrist is cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me any day!

I'd say Arab or possibly welsh

Do welsh ponies have dished faces like Arabs though? And yes, her mother IS a paint, she'd be a paint pony, but everyone who is interested in adopting her is going to ask "WHAT KIND OF PONY!!!" lol

Many Welsh ponies have a dished face. Go to google images and search "welsh pony" and you will see plenty of cute little dished faces.

Thanks Cat. As you might see from my handle, I'm not a pony person. =)

I agree with welsh pony. :) She's cute!

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.
