Breed Registry Help!

I'm new to the list and I'm proudly owned by a 4 year old part arab. I'm in the process of trying to get a hold of the original breeder but I don't think it's going to happen. The guy I bought him from claims his father was a Missouri Fox Trotter and his mom was a half Arab, half Quarter horse. However, this guy looks like a pure bred Polish arab (better built then most with a far finer head in my opinion). He does have some gait, but he's hot and unless he's a bit tuckered out I don't usually get the fox trot out of him.

So that's the history, now my question. I know there are some registries, such as one of the warmblood association where if your horse gets enough points in an event they can be registered. Is there any other registry's based on merit that are more western based?? Right now he's in training for endurance and barrels. Thanks!

Unless he displays pinto coloring, I really don't know. There is a Grade Horse Association, but it's pretty much worthless for anything other than identification.

You should look into the MFTHBA, if your horse is part MFT, they may let you register him. I'm not too sure though

i Have heard that you can sometimes register a half arab ... like a
qurab but if you register a mft X qh X arab.....I dont think you will have much luck unless you try the grade horse registry....I would call up some registries if you find a phone number for any of them and see if you have much luck.....

what is your purpose in registering your horse?
