Question Buckskin Registration Question

Hi All-

I have a question about which association to register my buckskin horse with. She appears to meet the criteria for both the International Buckskin Horse Association and the American Buckskin Registry Association. Is it a good idea to register her with both or is one more well-known/recognized? Thanks in advance for the advice!

It depends on your reason for registering her. The only really for me at least would be b/c of shows that are close to me. So if that is the reason then look and see which have the most shows. If you have both around you then go for both.

If you are only looking for a set of papers. Then it really dose not matter.

Java is registered with both, but only in case we ran into some ABRA shows. We mainly competed in IBHA and AQHA shows because that's what was more prominent in our area. I still have to look into what's available out here.

Other than showing, there's really no difference. I suppose I prefer IBHA because that's what I'm more used to.

Thanks everyone, question for you about the shows... how would I find out which one has more events in Southern California? Is this information available on their websites? Thanks!
