Just seen this and I had to reply. A few years ago we brought in a Tennessee walking horse to breed my mare. Well we also put him in with my miniature horse. I was disappointed when I found out my mare didn't get bred. However to our surprise without us even knowing she was pregnant our miniature horse gave birth to a healthy colt 11 months later. She gave birth on her own with no complications and had a perfectly healthy colt. He grew to be a decent sized colt. I wish I had a picture that I could post right now. But yes now I know it is possible. Looking back I still wonder how the stallion managed the feat lol🙈

Okay so I found a pic of my miniature/Tennessee walking horse. He obviously got most of his looks from his mother. I no longer own this horse but I kept him for several years.
