I appologize but the fact that you don't really know where to start with retraining him (don't worry, I didnt either for a looong time) leads me to believe that it would just be best that you did not buy him. Retraining a horse that has been ridden this way for a long time is a VERY hard and VERY tedious task that doesnt always end well, even for professionals. I think that while he seems very sweet, in the long run it would not be worth the time and money that it would take to retrain him even as a pleasure horse.
